Thinking of making The Resting Place your home church, or just new here and want to learn more? You're in the right place!
Join us after service (around 12 PM) in the 4th-5th grade room to share a meal together and spend some time getting to know each other. After lunch, Pastor Devin will share a brief teaching on what it really means to belong to the family of God and how that reality impacts our daily lives. You'll learn more about your next steps here at The Resting Place and ways to connect, engage and grow with your new church family.
Childcare is provided!

Fall Block Party
October 25 | 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Bring the whole family for an evening of fun, food, and community at our 5th Annual Fall Block Party!
What’s Happening:
- Carnival Games & Candy – 25 exciting stations run by our amazing volunteers. Don’t forget your candy buckets!
- Sweet Treats – Free cotton candy, snow cones, and popcorn, provided by the church.
- Inflatables – Bounce and play for kids big and small!
- Face Painting – Festive designs for every age.
- Food Trucks – Enjoy local favorites:
Chicken Fingers
Villa Wagen
Salt Hill Farms Coffee
Mason’s Lemonade - Petting Zoo – Get up close with furry friends.
- Kart Racing – ALLRAD Kart Racing is offering a $5 discount on “arrive and drive” sessions. (Closed-toed shoes required. Drivers under 18 need parental permission.)
- Door Prizes – Kids who complete all 25 carnival games will be entered into a prize drawing!
Important Times to Note:
- 8:00 PM – Best Carnival Game winner & Door Prize winner announced
- 8:15 PM – “Faster Pastor” event on the ALLRAD track
- 8:30 PM – Extreme Sports Video Contest on the ALLRAD track
This is a completely FREE event with the exception of optional dinner purchases and kart racing!
Christian Foundations
October 26 – November 16, 2025 | 1-2PM
Whether you've been a Christian for 20 years or 20 minutes, Foundations is for you! This 4-week course is designed to set the foundation for growth in biblical literacy by grounding you in the teachings of Jesus and core tenets of ancient Christianity. Topics include: The Story of the Bible, The Atonement, The Holy Spirit, and The Gospel & The Great Commission.
This set of 4 classes meets at The Resting Place at 1 PM on Sunday afternoons. Please bring your Bible, notebook, and a pen. Childcare and coffee are provided!
*** Because The Resting Place values discipleship over volunteerism, Foundations is required before you join a serve team. If you want to serve, make sure you sign up for Foundations first!
*** Foundations is also a *required* pre-requisite for the Certificate Program.

Adopt a Family
October 26 - December 6
Every Christmas season, we have the privilege of participating in 'Adopt a Family' where we provide Christmas gifts for local children in need. Click here to learn how you can be a part of providing Christmas gifts to local families!
